Some people manage a community. James belongs to one. Over three decades, he's watched Cedar Haven grow through every Maine season: the mud of spring, the green of summer, the blaze of October and the long, quiet snows. He knows which trees turn first, which driveways ice over, and which residents just need someone to say good morning.
He's the person who notices the little things before they become big ones: the loose step, the leaning mailbox, the newcomer who could use a hand. When something breaks, James doesn't pass it along; he grabs his tools. And when a resident calls, he answers.
